Maurices Rescues & Runways: Throughout the month of September, Maurices at the Yankton Mall will be collecting donations for the animals of Heartland Humane Society.  On Saturday, September 18th, they will hold a runway fashion show at 2pm in the mall near the fountain.  Adoptable animals will be on hand in the mall from 1-4 pm to help promote the event.  Come meet the dogs and a few of the kitties that are available for adoption at the shelter!  For more information on the event, contact Maurices at 665-2268 or the HHS office at 664-4244.

Fur Ball:  Join us on Saturday, October 9th, 2010 at the Muenster University Center,  located at  401 E Cherry Street in Vermillion for an elegant evening of dining, dancing and donating.  A silent auction will be held during dinner to also benefit our shelter animals.  Tickets on sale now at the shelter.

Meet & Greet Day

Come and meet the animals at our facility at 601 1/2 Burleigh Street in Yankton, typically the first Saturday of every other month. HHS Foster animals will be present for you to meet from 10:00am until 12:00pm.  Please consider the adoption option and come check out our fostered animals!
