Please be aware that the Heartland Humane Society has a very limited physical facility/shelter at this time that can only house a small number of cats.

We rely on our Foster Caregivers to provide homes for some of the cats and all of the dogs that come under our care.

We also post Lost/Missing pets & Found animals on this site in hopes of finding their owners or a new home.

Feel free to contact us by phone or by email.

Happy and Jenny are two Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs. Happy is cream/white and Jenny is black/white. They are sisters. Neither is wearing a collar, but they are both spayed and current on all vaccines. They went missing during the 1/5-1/7 blizzard. I think they went out on patrol and became disoriented when familiar landmarks disappeared in the drifts. Our farm is near 301st St and 445th Ave. You may see them in with your cattle or sheep, as this is their job. They will not harm livestock and will even curl up with newborns to protect them. Both dogs are quite people-friendly, too.  Please email bobbia@valyousat.net or call 263-0055 if you have any information.
