Please be aware that the Heartland Humane Society
has a very limited physical facility/shelter at this time
that can only house a small number of cats.
We rely on our Foster Caregivers to provide homes
for some of the cats and all of the dogs that come under
our care.
We also post Lost/Missing pets & Found
animals on this site in hopes of finding their owners or
a new home.
Feel free to contact us by phone or by
email.

The
comments made about the animals listed below
are done so by the HHS Volunteers, who with
the help of the Animal Control Officer take
pictures of the animals who are up for
adoption at the City Pound. They are by no
means a reflection of the total personality of
the animal or how it will get along with other
animals or children. Please keep in
mind that even if there are no pictures
posted, there may be animals available at
the Pound. We are not always able to get
together with the ACO to get photos taken.
As
always, when adopting a stray animal please make an
appointment with your vet first thing to make sure
they are healthy and to get their vaccinations
updated. Remember to spay and neuter as soon as they
are old enough also. If you live within City
Limits, please check with the City about proper
licensing of your pets as well. It is the law.
Female young
Cocker Spaniel - seems very shy and very
sweet. She has a beautiful rust
colored coat and a beautiful melt-your-heart
face. Please check her out today.
